Summary:To improve convenience when changing lanes in automatic operation or operation support.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: generation means (1b) for generating a path (A) for lane change of an own vehicle (V1); control means (1d) for controlling the own vehicle so as for the own vehicle to change lanes along the generated path for lane change; and determination means (1c) for determining whether or not at least either of a relative distance and a relative speed between the own vehicle and a preceding vehicle (V2) changes beyond a predetermined reference while a lane change is performed along the path for lane change. The generation means, when it is determined that the change occurs, regenerates a path (B) for lane change to bring timing of the lane change forward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】自動運転や運転支援における車線変更の際の利便性を向上させる。【解決手段】車両制御装置は、自車両(V1)の車線変更用パス(A)を生成する生成手段(1b)と、該生成された車線変更用パスに沿って自車両を車線変更するように自車両を制御する制御手段(1d)と、車線変更用パスに沿って車線変更が行われている最中に、自車両及び先行車両(V2)間の相対距離及び相対速度の少なくとも一方が所定基準を超えて変化したか否かを判定する判定手段(1c)とを備える。生成手段は、前記変化したと判定された場合、車線変更のタイミングを早くする車線変更用パス(B)を再生成する。【選択図】図1
