To provide a rotary tiller capable of preventing getting off of a front cover from an engaged state during working.SOLUTION: A rotary tiller includes: tilling tines capable of normal rotation and reverse rotation around a lateral axis; an upper cover covering an upper side of the tilling tines; a front cover attached to a front of the upper cover; and side covers arranged at sides of the tilling tines. A lateral rod extending in a width direction of the front cover is provided to a lower end of the front cover.
