Summary:To realize a battery capable of suppressing a short circuit of a terminal of a battery element and a metal layer of an exterior coating film.SOLUTION: A battery 1A comprises: a battery element 10; and an exterior coating body 20A. The battery element 10 includes: a positive electrode layer 11 and a negative electrode layer 12 which are opposite; and a positive electrode tub 14 and a negative electrode tub 15 which are connected each other. The exterior coating body 20A is formed by an exterior coating film 20 packing the battery element 10 so that the positive electrode tub 14 and the negative electrode tub 15 are projected. The exterior coating film 20 includes: an insulation layer 22 and an insulation layer 23 which are opposite; and a metal layer 21 interposed between them. In an end surface 20a on the side where the positive electrode tub 14 and the negative electrode tub 15 are projected, the metal layer 21 is positioned at an inner side from the insulation layers 22 and 23.
