Summary:To provide a toothed belt in which sufficient dedendum crack (tooth chipping) resistance is secured while maintaining flexibility.SOLUTION: Regarding a toothed belt 1 having tooth parts 3 arranged at predetermined intervals in a belt circumferential direction and a reinforcing layer 5 embedded along a contour of the tooth parts 3, the reinforcing layer 5 is embedded in the tooth part 3 so that a position H2 (height) is within a range of 30 to 100% of a tooth height H1; the reinforcing layer 5 includes a plurality of reinforcing fiber filaments 51 arranged in the belt circumferential direction; a weight per unit area of fibers intersecting in the belt circumferential direction is 30% or less of a weight per unit area of the reinforcing fiber filament; the reinforcing fiber filaments 51 are arranged in the belt circumferential direction in an untwisted state and connected in a sheet manner; a thickness of the reinforcing layer 5 is within a range of 0.05 to 0.2 mm; and a tensile elastic modulus of the reinforcing fiber filament satisfies a condition of 5≤[thickness of the reinforcing layer (mm)]×[tensile elastic modulus (GPa) of the reinforcing fiber filament]≤60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】屈曲性を確保しつつ十分な耐歯元亀裂(歯欠け)性を確保した歯付ベルトを提供する。【解決手段】ベルト周方向に所定の間隔で配設された歯部3と、歯部3の輪郭に沿って埋設された補強層5とを有する歯付ベルト1に関して、補強層5は、位置H2(高さ)が、歯高さH1の30~100%の領域の範囲になるように歯部3に埋設され、補強層5はベルト周方向に配列された複数の補強繊維フィラメント51を含み、ベルト周方向に交差する繊維の単位面積当たりの重量が、補強繊維フィラメントの単位面積当たりの重量の30%以下であり、補強繊維フィラメント51が、無撚の状態で、ベルト周方向に配列しつつシート状になるように結合され、補強層5の厚みを0.05~0.2mmの範囲にし、補強繊維フィラメントの引張弾性率は、5≦[前記補強層の厚み(mm)]×[前記補強繊維フィラメントの引張弾性率(GPa)]≦60の条件を満たす。【選択図】図2
