Summary:To provide a fire resistant structure material and a red-heat suppression method that can prevent the fire resistant structure material from being red-heat.SOLUTION: A fire resistant structure material 1A comprises a wooden or steel load support part 11a, a fire resistant coating layer 12a that coats the load support part 11a and is made of pure wood, and a burnable coating layer 13a that coats the fire resistant coating layer 12a, is made of pure wood and has a thickness less than 25 mm, and when being exposed to flame, it is burned and destroyed by fire. When conducting a burning test for 60 minutes by using standard heating according to ISO834-1 on the fire resistant structure material 1A and a comparison structure material in which the burnable coating layer 13a of the fire resistant structure material 1A is replaced with the fire resistant coating layer 12a, it is preferable that a mass decreasing rate of the fire resistant structure material 1A is larger than that of the comparison structure material just after the end of heating, and a mass decreasing rate of the fire resistant structure material is smaller than that of the comparison structure material within 180 minutes after the end of heating.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】耐火構造材が赤熱することを抑制することができる、耐火構造材及び赤熱抑制方法を提供すること。【解決手段】木製又は鋼製の荷重支持部11aと、前記荷重支持部11aを被覆する、純木からなる耐火被覆層12aと、前記耐火被覆層12aを被覆し、火炎に晒されたときに燃焼し焼失する、純木からなる厚みが25mm未満である焼失性被覆層13aとを備える耐火構造材1A。耐火構造材1A及び、該耐火構造材1Aの焼失性被覆層13aを耐火被覆層12aに置換した比較用構造材を対象として、ISO834-1に準拠した標準加熱による60分間の燃焼試験を行ったときに、加熱終了直後において、耐火構造材1Aの方が、比較用構造材よりも質量減少速度が大きく、加熱終了後180分以内に、前記耐火構造材の方が、前記比較用構造材よりも質量減少速度が小さくなることが好ましい。【選択図】図1
