Summary:To provide a forming device that can perform bending-forming stably, by controlling a direction of bending caused by buckling.SOLUTION: A forming device, which pressurizes a columnar metal material to bend and form it into a desired shape, comprises: a first pressing die that constitutes an upsetting die that pressurizes both ends in an axial direction of the metal material, has a first pressing surface that presses one end face in the axial direction of the metal material, in a pressing direction of the upsetting die, and holds one end in the axial direction of the metal material; a second pressing die that constitutes the upsetting die together with the first pressing die, has a second pressing surface that presses the other end face in the axial direction of the metal material, in the pressing direction, and holds the other end in the axial direction of the metal material; and a bending member that bends the metal material in a cross direction crossing the pressing direction, by pressurizing at least a portion of a side part of both ends of the metal material held by the first pressing die and the second pressing die, in the cross direction.
