Summary:To provide a technique capable of producing an absorber capable of unevenly distributing only water absorptive polymer particles in an absorber including a textile material and the water absorptive polymer particles, and achieving a desired absorption performance by distribution control of the water absorptive polymer particles.SOLUTION: A production method of an absorber comprises: a textile material supply step for supplying a textile material to a supply passage 4 which supplies an absorber material in a scattering state toward recesses 30 for integration; and a powder body material supply step for supplying water absorptive polymer particles P to the supply passage 4. In the powder body material supply step, the water absorptive polymer particles P are continuously supplied toward a prescribed opening 77 provided on an upstream side of a supply direction P1 relative to the supply passage 4, and the opening 77 is periodically closed by closing means 74 according to a position of a textile lamination area 32 of a non-textile lamination part 31 of a rotary drum 3, therefore a supply amount per unit time of the water absorptive polymer particles P to each of the plurality of recesses 30 for integration is changed periodically.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】繊維材料及び吸水性ポリマー粒子を含む吸収体において吸水性ポリマー粒子のみを偏在させることが可能で、吸水性ポリマー粒子の分布制御により所望の吸収性能を有する吸収体を製造することができる技術を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の吸収体の製造方法は、集積用凹部30に向けて吸収体材料を飛散状態にて供給する供給路4に繊維材料を供給する繊維材料供給工程と、供給路4に吸水性ポリマー粒子Pを供給する粉体材料供給工程とを有している。前記粉体材料供給工程では、前記吸水性ポリマー粒子Pを、供給路4よりも供給方向P1の上流側に設けられた所定の開口部77に向けて連続供給しつつ、回転ドラム3の非積繊部31の積繊領域32での位置に応じて開口部77を閉塞手段74によって周期的に閉塞することで、複数の集積用凹部30それぞれに対する吸水性ポリマー粒子Pの単位時間当たりの供給量を周期的に変化させる。【選択図】図1
