To provide an image forming apparatus and a control method that allow users using the apparatus to share setting history information, and facilitate execution of a job based on the shared setting history information to increase working efficiency between the users sharing the setting history information.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a control unit that executes a job based on a setting value; a storage unit that stores the setting value of the executed job as setting history information; and a display that displays a selection screen for selecting the setting history information stored in the storage unit.
