Summary:To provide an ink composition for metal printing which suppresses cissing even when water-based overprint varnish reduced in use of a solvent component is applied to a printed surface, and has good performance in flowability and improvement of misting.SOLUTION: An ink composition for metal printing contains a coloring pigment, a resin and a solvent, contains a rosin-modified resin having an acid value of 10-400 mgKOH/g as at least a part of the resin, and contains at least one selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by the following general formula (1) as the solvent. In the general formula (1), A is each independently an alkylene group that may have a branch and has 2 to 4 carbon atoms, R is an alkyl group that may have a branch and/or a ring structure and has 1 to 13 carbon atoms, and n is an integer of 2 to 6.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】溶剤成分の使用が削減された水性オーバープリントニスを印刷面に塗工された場合であってもハジキが抑制され、かつ、流動性やミスチングの改善という点でも良好な性能を有する金属印刷用インキ組成物を提供すること。【解決手段】着色顔料、樹脂及び溶剤を含んでなる金属印刷用インキ組成物であって、上記樹脂の少なくとも一部として酸価10~400mgKOH/gであるロジン変性樹脂を含み、上記溶剤として下記一般式(1)で表す化合物よりなる群から選択される少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする金属印刷用インキ組成物を用いる。下記一般式(1)中、各Aは、それぞれ独立に、分岐を有してもよい炭素数2~4のアルキレン基であり、Rは、分岐及び/又は環構造を備えてもよい炭素数1~13のアルキル基であり、nは、2~6の整数である。TIFF2022086558000007.tif10159【選択図】なし
