To provide a search technique which can suppress occurrence of excess or deficiency of search sensitivity due to a distance from a reference position of a search range.SOLUTION: A search device comprises a designation unit, a determination unit, and a search unit. The designation unit designates a reference position of a search range and an orientation direction of the search range. The determination unit determines the search range in a plurality of distances from the reference position whose values are respectively different, so that the smaller the value is, the larger a search range angle between a first direction toward one end of the search range from the reference position and a second direction toward the other end of the search range from the reference position becomes.
