To prevent wear of a contact caused by an arc generated when a movable contact is opened from a stationary contact.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic relay comprises: first to fourth stationary contacts; first to fourth movable contacts that face the first to fourth stationary contacts; first and second movable contact pieces; a driving device; and a connection member. The first and second movable contacts are connected with the first movable contact piece. The third and fourth movable contacts are connected with the second movable contact piece. The driving device moves the first and second movable contact pieces to closed positions where the first to fourth movable contacts are in contact with the first to fourth stationary contacts and open positions where the first to fourth movable contacts are opened from the first to fourth stationary contacts. The connection member is opened from the first and second movable contact pieces when the first and second movable contact pieces are at the closed positions, and is in contact with the first and second movable contact pieces when the first and second movable contact pieces are at the open position to electrically connect the first movable contact piece and the second movable contact piece to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】可動接点が固定接点から開離するときに生じるアークに起因する接点の消耗を抑制する。【解決手段】電磁継電器は、第１～第４固定接点と、第１～第４固定接点にそれぞれ向き合う第１～第４可動接点と、第１及び第２可動接触片と、駆動装置と、接続部材とを備える。第１及び第２可動接点は、第１可動接触片に接続されている。第３及び第４可動接点は、第２可動接触片に接続されている。駆動装置は、第１～第４固定接点に第１～第４可動接点がそれぞれ接触する閉位置と、第１～第４固定接点から第１～第４可動接点がそれぞれ開離した開位置とに第１及び第２可動接触片を移動させる。接続部材は、第１及び第２可動接触片が閉位置にあるときに第１及び第２可動接触片から開離し、第１及び第２可動接触片が開位置にあるときに第１及び第２可動接触片に接触して第１可動接触片と第２可動接触片とを電気的に接続する。【選択図】図３
