Summary: | To provide means capable of preventing occurrence of hydrogen sulfide during storage after a battery is manufactured and during steady operation in a secondary battery using a material containing sulfur.SOLUTION: In a secondary battery having a power generation element including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a solid electrolyte layer interposed therebetween, a hydrogen sulfide generation suppressing region where the atomic ratio (O/S ratio) of oxygen(O) atoms to sulfur(S) atoms is 3.0 or more is provided to at least a part of a solid electrolytic layer containing a sulfide solid electrolyte containing lithium(Li), phosphorus(P), sulfur(S) and oxygen(O), or at least a part of a positive electrode active material layer containing a sulfur-containing positive electrode active material containing sulfur(S) and/or a sulfide solid electrolyte containing lithium(Li), phosphorus(P), sulfur(S) and oxygen(O).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
