To provide a penetration rod in which fastening between a first rod and a second rod is easily released.SOLUTION: A penetration rod 18 rotated to penetrate a ground comprises a first rod 22 and a second rod 23. The first rod 22 includes: a base portion 33; a male screw portion 37 being concentric with the base portion 33 and provided to protrude from the base portion 33; an intermediate portion 38 being concentric with the base portion 33, provided between the base portion 33 and the male screw portion 37, and formed to have a diameter that is larger than an effective diameter of the male screw portion 37 and smaller than a diameter of the base portion 33; and a spiral screw thread which is provided on an outer peripheral face of the male screw portion 37 and whose end is connected with the intermediate portion 38.
