Summary:To provide a translucent member using aerogel and a manufacturing method thereof allowing no uneveness to occur upon loading of the aerogel into the inner space and worsening of its appearance to be prevented.SOLUTION: A translucent member 1 is provided with: a pair of translucent plates 2: a sealer 5 for sealing a gap between corresponding ends of both translucent plates 2 all along perimeters of the pair of translucent plates 2, which also serve as spacers; and a semi-translucent aerogel layer 3 with a receiving space V between the pair of translucent plates 2 being evenly filled with aerogel particles 4. Filled density of aerogel particles 4 in the receiving space V is 68 g/L or more to 120 g/L or less. A manufacturing method of the translucent member 1 is to classify the aerogel particles 4 to eliminate the aerogel particles 4 with particle diameters of 0.05 mm or less before flowing the aerogel particles into the receiving space V for filling, or to vibrate the translucent plate 2 in the middle of filling the receiving space V with the aerogel particles 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】内部空間へのエアロゲル充填時にむらが生じず、美観を損ねないエアロゲルを利用した透光部材及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】透光部材1は、一対の透光板2と、これら一対の透光板2の全周に亘って両透光板2の対応する端同士の隙間を塞ぐスペーサ兼用の閉塞具5と、一対の透光板2の間の収納空間Vにエアロゲル粒子4を均一に充填させてなる半透光性のエアロゲル層3とを具備する。収納空間V内へのエアロゲル粒子4の充填密度を68g/L以上であって120g/L以下としている。透光部材1の製造方法は、エアロゲル粒子4を収納空間V内に流入させて充填する段階に先立って、粒径が0.05mm以下の粒径のエアロゲル粒子4を排除するように分級を行い、或いは、エアロゲル粒子4を収納空間V内に充填する途中で透光板2を加振する。【選択図】図1
