Summary: | To provide a device and a method for friction stir welding, capable of correcting the insertion amount of a joint tool in response to an exceeding amount when the insertion amount of the joint tool into a member to be joined exceeds a prescribed amount in friction stir welding of the member to be joined.SOLUTION: A friction stir welding device comprises: a joint tool advancing while rotating to join a plurality of the members to be joined; a spindle motor connected to the joint tool to rotate the joint tool in a prescribed direction; a joint head supporting the spindle motor; and a device body making the joint tool proceed along a joint line while rotating the joint tool. The device body has: a first correction mode correcting the location of the joint tool based on the variable correction amount calculated by a prescribed computing equation in response to a variation amount of a state volume which indicates the control volume of the joint head in a Z-axis upper direction in friction stir welding of the members to be joined by the joint tool; and a second correction mode correcting the location of the joint tool based on a preset immobilized correction amount in response to the variation amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】被接合部材を攪拌接合する際に接合ツールの被接合部材への挿入量が所定の範囲を超えた場合、その超えた分量に応じて接合ツールの挿入量を補正可能な摩擦攪拌接合装置及び摩擦攪拌接合方法を提供する。【解決手段】回転しながら進行し複数の被接合部材を接合する接合ツールと、接合ツールに連結されて接合ツールを所定方向に回転させる主軸モータと、主軸モータを支持する接合ヘッドと、接合ツールを回転させながら接合ツールを接合線に沿って進行させる装置本体とを備える摩擦攪拌接合装置であって、装置本体は、接合ツールにより被接合部材を摩擦攪拌接合する際の接合ヘッドのZ軸上方向の制御量を示す状態量の変動量を、変動量に応じて所定の演算式により算出した可変補正量に基づき接合ツールの位置を補正する第一補正モードと、変動量に応じて予め設定した固定補正量に基づき接合ツールの位置を補正する第二補正モードと、を有する。【選択図】図4 |
