To provide a cooker which is not easily damaged even when a stirring device is rotated in a direction opposed to a rotation direction and also which can be inexpensively provided.SOLUTION: A cooker includes: a cam part to be jointly rotated with a stirring device for stirring contents of an inner pot; a first switch (46) and a second switch (47) to be turned on/off at different timing excluding a periodic deviation of a half rotation in the cam part; a direction determination part (41) for determining a rotation direction of a drive motor for rotating the stirring device from a time difference of turning-on/off of the first switch (46) and the second switch (47); and a direction designation part (42) for repeating an operation to turn on/off a power source of the drive motor till the rotation direction comes to be a predetermined one direction for enabling the stirring device to perform stirring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】攪拌装置が回転方向とは逆方向に回されても破損し難く、しかもより安価にて提供可能な加熱調理器を実現する。【解決手段】加熱調理器は、内鍋の内容物を攪拌する攪拌装置と一緒に回転するカム部と、カム部にて、１/２回転の周期ずれを除く異なるタイミングでオンオフされる第１スイッチ（４６）および第２スイッチ（４７）と、第１スイッチ（４６）および第２スイッチ（４７）のオンオフされる時間差から、攪拌装置を回転させる駆動モータの回転方向を判定する方向判定部（４１）と、回転方向が攪拌装置が攪拌可能な所定の一方向となるまで、駆動モータの電源を切って付ける動作を繰り返す方向指定部（４２）と、を備える。【選択図】図８
