The rail-guided carrier device 10 has approach detection means 30 which has first approach detection means 31, second approach detection means 32, third approach detection means 33, and fourth approach detection means 34 provided on the front, left, rear, and right sides of the carrier body 12 respectively in one travel direction Y, and detects an approach state of the guide rail 11.
