Summary:To enable easy determination of a liquid surface state.SOLUTION: In each of a light-receiving unit 212u provided above the optical axis of a light-emitting unit 211 and a light-receiving unit 212d provided below the optical axis, a light-receiving signal is generated according to the intensity of received light emitted by the light-emitting unit 211. A liquid-surface state determination unit 30 determines a liquid surface state on the basis of a signal level difference between the light-receiving signal generated in the light-receiving unit 212u and the light-receiving signal generated in the light-receiving unit 212d. This eliminates the need for processing captured-image data and enables easy determination of the liquid surface state even when the liquid temperature is substantially equal to the outside air temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】液面の状態を容易に把握できるようにする。
