To provide a washing machine which has a shape with improved designability, with the shape of a rear side of an upper part frame body, as well, having no unevenness.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: a housing; an upper part frame body disposed at an upper part of the housing; a clothing input port formed at the upper part frame body so that clothing can be inputted inside; and a lid body for covering the clothing input port openably/closably. The upper part frame body is formed of an outer peripheral frame and the clothing input port, in a substantially upward recessed form. A rear end part of the upper part frame body protrudes backward from a rear end part of the housing. In the upper part frame body, a partition wall from above is provided at a position corresponding to a rear end part of the housing, and a rear protrusion space part 228 is formed of the outer peripheral frame protruding backward and the partition wall. Groove parts are formed by providing a pair of ribs at the partition wall and an outer peripheral frame inner wall of the upper part frame body respectively.
