To provide an easily cleanable water discharge device having a structure in which a water discharge port is formed above the upper edge surface of a bathtub.SOLUTION: A water discharge device includes a water intake port opening into a bathtub, a water channel communicating with the water intake port, a water discharge port 41 formed above the upper edge surface 15 of the bathtub for discharging bathtub water by communicating with the water channel, and an opening 61 formed above the bathtub upper edge and communicating with the water channel. The water discharge device further includes a closing member for closing the water intake port.
