Summary: | To provide a method of manufacturing a rotor of a rotary electric machine, that is capable of improving magnetic force as well as mechanical strength by increasing a compression load, while suppressing cost by integrally molding a magnet and a shaft via compression molding.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a rotor of a rotary electric machine comprises: a shaft processing step of performing processing so as to form a plurality of grooves parallel to an axial direction of a shaft on an outer-periphery of the cylindrical shaft; a magnet molding step of manufacturing a magnet assembly via integral-molding by intrusion of cylindrical magnets arranged on the outer-periphery of the shaft into the plurality of groves, and solidification thereof; and a rotor assembly assembling step of manufacturing a rotor by attaching a first ring member arranged on one end face side and a second ring member arranged on the other end face side of the magnet in the axial direction of the shaft to the magnet assembly manufactured by the magnet molding step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
