【課題】エンコーダと制御装置とを接続する通信線を利用してコンピュータなどの外部の機器との通信を可能とするエンコーダを提供すること。【解決手段】エンコーダ1は、通信線2を介して第1速度または第2速度の通信が可能な通信部12を備える。また、エンコーダ1は、通信線2を介して接続された制御装置3との間で第1速度の双方向通信を行い、第1周期T1で制御装置3からの問い合わせ指令O1を受信する毎に当該制御装置3に位置情報Pを送信する。通信部12は、通信の通信速度が第1速度に設定されているときに第1周期T1よりも長い第2周期T2で所定の制御信号S1を複数回受信し、最後に制御信号S1を受信してから第2周期T2と所定時間とが経過した第1時点で制御信号S1を受信しない場合に、通信速度を第2速度に切り換える通信速度設定部16を備える。【選択図】図1 |
