Summary:To improve the accuracy of short distance measurement and long distance measurement in a distance measuring device.SOLUTION: A distance measuring device 1 of an embodiment includes a light projecting unit 20, a first light receiving unit PU1, a second light receiving unit PU2, and a control unit. The light projecting unit 20 includes a light source 23 that emits a light signal and a mirror 25 that reflects the light signal. The first light receiving unit PU1 includes a first sensor 33A including a plurality of first pixels that are two-dimensionally arranged. The second light receiving unit PU2 includes a second sensor 33B including a plurality of second pixels that are two-dimensionally arranged. The control unit sets, to the first sensor 33A, a first light receiving area AA in which at least one first pixel of the plurality of first pixels is selectively turned on. The control unit 10 sets, to the second sensor 33B, a second light receiving area AA in which at least one second pixel of the plurality of second pixels is selectively turned on.
