Summary:To provide a constant velocity joint and a propeller shaft, capable of suppressing leakage of grease filled in an outer ring member to the outside of the constant velocity joint while suppressing increase in manufacturing cost of the constant velocity joint.SOLUTION: In a constant velocity joint UJ1 according to the present invention and a propeller shaft PS1 using the constant velocity joint, with respect to a hole part 35 provided in a bottom part 34 of an outer ring member 3, an axial length L, which is an axial dimension, is formed larger than an inner diameter d, which is a radial dimension. This makes it possible to increase internal resistance when grease in a bearing accommodation space 30 passes through the hole part 35 and increase pressure loss in the hole part 35. As a result, it is possible to suppress leakage of grease from the bearing accommodation space 30 to an inner peripheral side space 10 of a cylindrical member 1 through the hole part 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】等速ジョイントの製造コストの増大を抑制しながら、外輪部材の内部に充填されたグリスの等速ジョイント外部への漏出を抑制することができる等速ジョイント及びプロペラシャフトを提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係る等速ジョイントUJ1、及びこれを用いたプロペラシャフトPS1は、外輪部材3の底部34に設けた孔部35について、径方向の寸法である内径dに対して軸方向の寸法である軸方向長さLが大きく形成されている。これにより、軸受収容空間30内のグリスが孔部35を通過する際の内部抵抗を上昇させ、当該孔部35における圧力損失を増大させることが可能となる。その結果、軸受収容空間30から筒状部材1の内周側空間10への孔部35を通じたグリスの漏出を抑制することができる。【選択図】図1
