To provide a steel strip and manufacturing method thereof that can provide material information of good accuracy.SOLUTION: A steel strip 9 includes a medium that provides material information including a material distribution associating position in a two-dimentional direction in a longer direction and a width direction with material characteristic values. The material information is predicted by using a prediction model to which input data including a facility output factor in a facility for manufacturing the steel strip, a disturbance factor and a component value of the steel strip being manufactured.
