To provide a parent plant cultivation device 10, in which leaves and runners generated from a parent plant are not easily entangled.SOLUTION: A parent plant cultivation device 10 comprises: a cylindrical side wall 12 which is disposed around a container where each parent plant of strawberry is cultivated, and whose open upper end 120 is located at a position higher than a culture soil top surface in the container; a light reflection surface formed on an inner surface 124 of the side wall 12; a notch part 126 which notches the side wall 12 downward from the upper end 120; and a runner support part 20 located outside the side wall 12 and at a position corresponding to the notch part 126. The notch part 126 has a width W through which a plurality of runners extending from the parent plant can pass.
