Summary:To provide a new tension measuring method capable of measuring tension acting on a cable.SOLUTION: A tension measuring method includes: a first reel installation step for installing a tension measuring reel having a solenoid coil forming portion on a cable; a first coil manufacturing step for manufacturing a first coil by winding a conductor around the solenoid coil forming portion; a magnetization characteristic measurement step for measuring a magnetic hysteresis loop of the cable by supplying a current to the first coil to form a magnetic field; and a tension computing step for computing the tension of the cable using a parameter obtained from the magnetic hysteresis loop. In the magnetization characteristic measurement step, the magnetic field is varied so that the magnetic hysteresis loop includes a near-saturation magnetization region, to measure the magnetic hysteresis loop. The parameter used in the tension computing step is one or more types of parameters selected from a magnetic flux amount or magnetic flux density, remanent magnetization, coercivity, magnetic permeability, and hysteresis loss in the near-saturation magnetization region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ケーブルに作用している張力を測定できる新たな張力測定方法の提供。【解決手段】ケーブルに、ソレノイドコイル形成部を備えた張力測定用リールを設置する第1リール設置工程、ソレノイドコイル形成部に導線を巻き付け、第1コイルを作製する第1コイル作製工程と、第1コイルに通電することで磁界を形成し、ケーブルの磁気ヒステリシス環線を測定する磁化特性測定工程と、磁気ヒステリシス環線から求めたパラメータを用いてケーブルの張力を算出する張力算出工程と、を有し、磁化特性測定工程では、磁気ヒステリシス環線が近飽和磁化領域を含むように磁界を変化させ、磁気ヒステリシス環線を測定し、張力算出工程で用いるパラメータが、近飽和磁化領域における磁束量または磁束密度、残留磁化、保磁力、透磁率、およびヒステリシス損失から選択された1種類以上である張力測定方法。【選択図】 図2
