Summary:To estimate a bone portion in an image from an ultrasonic image obtained by imaging a cross section inside the body of a subject and automatically acquire position posture information of a prescribed portion in the body based on the existence of the bone portion.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic image analysis device 13 includes a bone portion detection unit 16 which detects a region of a bone portion in an ultrasonic image. The bone portion detection unit 16 extracts a high luminance region where a shadow portion made of the luminance equal to or less than a preset second threshold exists close to a depth portion in the ultrasonic wave radiation direction from the high luminance regions made of the luminance equal to or greater than a preset first threshold in the ultrasonic image, and specifies the existence region and its type of the bone portion in the ultrasonic image on the basis of the state of the shadow portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】被検者の体内断面を撮像した超音波画像から、当該画像内の骨部分を推定し、当該骨部分の存在に基づき体内の所定部位の位置姿勢情報を自動的に取得可能にする。【解決手段】本発明の超音波画像解析装置13は、超音波画像内の骨部分の領域を検出する骨部分検出部16を備えている。この骨部分検出部16では、超音波画像内において、予め設定された第1の閾値以上の輝度からなる高輝度領域の中から、その超音波放射方向の奥側部分に、予め設定された第2の閾値以下の輝度からなる陰影部分が近接して存在する高輝度領域が抽出され、当該陰影部分の状態に基づいて、超音波画像内の骨部分の存在領域とその種別を特定する。【選択図】 図1
