To provide a control method and program that can set a lower limit value appropriately according to a user environment in which a communication device is used via a setting screen for setting the lower limit value of MSS (Maximum Segment Size).SOLUTION: A communication device that performs TCP communication with an external device sets an MSS lower limit value to be used for the TCP communication on the basis of a user operation.
