To provide an unmanned patrol and inspection apparatus capable of performing unmanned inspection while autonomously traveling even under an environment where a radio wave is hard to reach, such as, an electric power generation plant facility.SOLUTION: An unmanned patrol and inspection apparatus in accordance with an embodiment includes a vehicle body that travels along a predesignated patrol route within an inspection area in an electric power generation plant facility when it is a predesignated inspection time, a camera that is installed in the vehicle body and images the inspection area during traveling of the vehicle body, and a position recognition sensor that is installed in the vehicle body, measures a distance from an object which exists around the patrol route during the traveling of the vehicle body, and recognizes the position of the vehicle body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】発電プラント施設のように電波が届きにくい環境下であっても自律的に走行しながら無人点検することが可能な無人巡視点検装置を提供する。【解決手段】一実施形態に係る無人巡視点検装置は、予め設定された点検時刻になると、発電プラント施設の点検エリアを予め設定された巡回ルートで走行する車体部と、車体部に搭載され、車体部の走行中に点検エリアを撮影するカメラと、車体部に搭載され、車体部の走行中に巡回ルートの周囲に存在する物体との距離を計測して車体部の位置を認識する位置認識センサと、を備える。【選択図】図２
