Summary: | To provide a spark plug capable of checking a position of a ground electrode after being installed in an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A spark plug 1 includes an insulation body 50 and main metal fittings 30. The main metal fittings 30 have a mounting portion 35 that is attached to an internal combustion engine, a ground electrode 41 provided on the leading edge of the mounting portion 35, and a seat portion (large diameter portion) 34 located at the rear end of the mounting portion 35 and having a larger diameter than the mounting portion 35. An overhang portion 62 protruding radially outwardly from a portion of the surface of the main metal fittings 30 is formed at the rear end side than the seating portion 34 including the seating portion 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
