Summary:To provide a liquid discharge head drive circuit capable of driving a liquid discharge head in a stable discharge characteristic by suppressing for example, a characteristic variation between semiconductor wafers or an adverse effect on characteristic change due to the temperature at operation in the semiconductor substrate forming a drive circuit.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head drive circuit in this embodiment comprises a multiple output drive circuit, a detection part and an adjustment part, and the multiple output drive circuit comprises plural first transistors formed on a common semiconductor substrate. The detection part comprises the transistors for detection diode-connecting the transistors having the same polarity as that of the first transistor on the semiconductor substrate and fewer in number than the first transistor, and detects a forward voltage generating when flowing a prescribed current based on the characteristic ratio of the first transistor to the transistor for detection. The adjustment part adjusts an output current by imparting to the first transistor, a prescribed gate voltage responding to the detection value of the forward current detected by the detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】駆動回路を形成する半導体基板の例えば半導体ウエハ間の特性のばらつきや動作時の温度に依る特性変化の影響を抑えて、安定した吐出特性で液体吐出ヘッドを駆動させることのできる液体吐出ヘッド駆動回路を提供する。【解決手段】実施形態の液体吐出ヘッド駆動回路は、多出力駆動回路、検出部、調整部を備える。多出力駆動回路は、共通の半導体基板上に形成した複数の第1のトランジスタを備える。検出部は、第1のトランジスタと同極性のトランジスタを半導体基板上にダイオード接続した前記第1のトランジスタよりも少ない数の検出用トランジスタを備え、前記第1のトランジスタと前記検出用トランジスタとの特性比に基づいた所定電流を流したときに生じる順方向電圧を検出する。調整部は、検出部が検出する順方向電圧の検出値に応じた所定電圧のゲート電圧を第1のトランジスタに与えて出力電流を調節する。【選択図】図6
