To provide a pipe cutting method and a device of the same capable of performing an expected cutting step while maintaining high sealability by stably supporting a fluid pipe, when cutting the fluid pipe by a cutter in a housing.SOLUTION: The pipe cutting method cuts a fluid pipe 2 in a non-cutoff flow state, by using a pipe cutting device 1 which includes a housing 4 for surrounding the fluid pipe 2 in a sealed state, and a cutter 72 for cutting the fluid pipe 2 in the housing 4. The pipe cutting method includes: a mounting step of mounting a support member 3 comprising a pair of mounting parts 31, 32 to be mounted on the fluid pipe 2 at the position of sandwiching the housing 4 in a pipe axial direction, and extension parts 33, 33 stretched to the mounting parts 31, 32 with each other and extended in the pipe axial direction, on the fluid pipe 2; and a cutting step of cutting the fluid pipe 2 in the housing 4 by the cutter 72.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】筐体内でカッターにより流体管を切断する際に、当該流体管を安定的に支持して高い密封性を維持しながら所期の切断工程を行うことができる管切断方法及びその装置を提供する。【解決手段】流体管２を密封状に囲む筐体４と、筐体４の中で流体管２を切断するカッター７２とを備える管切断装置１を用いて、不断流状態で流体管２を切断する管切断方法であって、筐体４を管軸方向に挟む位置にて流体管２に取付けられる一対の取付部３１，３２と、該取付部３１，３２同士に架け渡されて管軸方向に延設される延設部３３，３３とからなる支持部材３を、流体管２に取付ける取付工程と、筐体４の中でカッター７２により流体管２を切断する切断工程とを有する。【選択図】図６
