Summary:To provide a product which utilizes LEDs as surface emitting luminous bodies, is used in various product categories, and has a structure in which a substrate mounted with LEDs is housed in a housing having a certain breadth or an elongated housing and light, emitted by the LEDs and penetrating through the housing, is used to form a predetermined module such as a surface emitting luminous body and a line emitting luminous body.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a cap structure at a housing end part in an elongated LED light emitting body. In the cap structure, at a surface emitting LED module in which LEDs mounted on a substrate are housed in a housing having a substantially square cross section, a cap is attached to an end part opening of the housing in a fitting manner to seal the interior of the housing. Further, slits are provided on a peripheral surface of the cap and a liquid adhesive is flowed into the slits from the outside to be penetrated into a joint surface between the cap and the housing interior to generate adhesive impregnation by a capillary phenomenon to shield the housing interior from the atmospheric air and thereby improve a protection function of the surface emitting LED module housed therein.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】従来、LEDを面発光体として利用する製品が各種の製品分野で使用されている。その構造は一定の広がりを有する筐体や長尺物の筐体中にLEDを実装した基板を収納して筐体を透過したLED発光を面発光体や線発光体等の所定のモジュールに構成したものである。【解決手段】この発明は、断面略方形状の筐体中に基板実装のLEDを収納した面発光LEDモジュールにおいて、筐体内部に面発光LEDモジュールを収納して筐体の端部開口部にキャップを嵌入装着して筐体内部を密封すると共に、キャップには周面にスリットを設けて外部から液状接着剤を流入してキャップと筐体内部との接合面に毛細管現象による接着剤浸透を生起させ筐体内部と大気とを遮断し収納した面発光LEDモジュールの保護機能を向上するように構成した長尺LED発光体の筐体端部におけるキャップ構造に関する。【選択図】図1
