Summary:To provide a fuel cell system which can prevent freezing of a coolant easily and efficiently.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system according to an embodiment includes a fuel cell part and further includes: a coolant circulation system which circulates a coolant through the fuel cell part; a heat exchange system for conducting heat exchange between sea water and the coolant circulating in the coolant circulation system; and a control unit for controlling the heat exchange.
