Summary:To provide a technology for adjusting execution frequency of monitoring processing.SOLUTION: A machine tool capable of processing a workpiece includes a main shaft on which a tool or the workpiece can be mounted, a detection unit for detecting an operator working at the machine tool, and an execution unit for executing, at multiple timings, monitoring processing for monitoring at least one of the tool and the workpiece.
