To provide a lighting device capable of reducing damage to an apparatus.SOLUTION: A lighting device includes a power receiving part, a reference power line, and a switching part. The power receiving part causes power and a signal that are supplied from a communication cable capable of supplying predetermined standard power to branch into a power line and a signal line; and feeds power to a subordinate device that is detachably connected to its own device via the power line. The reference power line branches from the power line between the power receiving part and the subordinate device and is connected to a reference potential. The switching part interrupts, when the subordinate device is not connected to its own device, electrical conduction between the power receiving part and the subordinate device and causes electrical conduction between the power receiving part and the reference potential.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】機器の損傷を低減することができる照明装置を提供すること。【解決手段】実施形態に係る照明装置は、受電部と、基準電力線と、切替部とを具備する。受電部は、所定規格の電力を供給可能な通信ケーブルから供給される電力および信号を電力線と信号線とに分岐させ、自装置に着脱可能に接続された下位装置へ電力線を介して給電する。基準電力線は、受電部および下位装置の間の電力線から分岐して基準電位に接続される。切替部は、下位装置が自装置に接続されていない場合に、受電部と下位装置との通電を遮断するとともに、受電部と基準電位とを通電する。【選択図】図３
