Summary:To provide a ceramic composite having high brightness and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a ceramic composite includes the steps of: preparing a raw material mixture involving a first rare earth aluminate phosphor particle involving an activation element and a first rare earth element which is different from the activation element, an oxide particle involving a second rare earth element, and an aluminum oxide particle, wherein based on the total amount of the first rare earth aluminate phosphor particle, the oxide particle, and the aluminum oxide particle of 100 mass%, the content of the first rare earth aluminate phosphor particle is in a range of 5 mass% or over and 40 mass% or under, the content of the oxide particle is in a range of 0.1 mass% or over and 32 mass% or under, and the content of the aluminum oxide particle is the balance; preparing a compact of the raw material mixture; and firing the compact in a temperature range of 1550°C or over and 1800°C or under to obtain a sintered body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A 【課題】輝度の高いセラミックス複合体及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】賦活元素を含有し、賦活元素とは異なる第1希土類元素を含有する第1希土類アルミン酸塩蛍光体粒子と、第2希土類元素を含有する酸化物粒子と、酸化アルミニウム粒子と、を含み、第1希土類アルミン酸塩蛍光体粒子、酸化物粒子及び酸化アルミニウム粒子の総量を100質量%として、第1希土類アルミン酸塩蛍光体粒子の含有量が5質量%以上40質量%以下の範囲内であり、酸化物粒子の含有量が0.1質量%以上32質量%以下の範囲内であり、酸化アルミニウム粒子の含有量が残部である、原料混合物を準備することと、原料混合物の成形体を準備することと、成形体を、1550℃以上1800℃以下の温度範囲で焼成し、焼結体を得ることと、を含む、セラミックス複合体の製造方法である。【選択図】図1A
