To provide a measuring instrument with which it is possible to notify a user about measuring instrument information without providing means for notifying the measuring instrument information on the outside of the measuring instrument.SOLUTION: A measuring instrument 1 comprises storage means 5 for storing information relating to the measuring instrument 1, control means 6 for calculating measurement results, and notification means 3 for notifying the measurement result calculated by the control means 6.
