Summary:To provide a fuel cell system capable of suppressing an outflow of a corrosion material generated on a catalyst layer to a metal member.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system has: a fuel cell stack that is a laminate of a plurality of single fuel cells; a fuel gas supply part; a fuel off-gas exhaustion flow passage; a gas-liquid separation device; a circulation flow passage; an oxidant gas supply part; an oxidant off-gas exhaustion flow passage; and an ion recovery device. Each single fuel cell has an anode side gas diffusion layer, an anode catalyst layer, an electrolyte film, a cathode catalyst layer, and a cathode side gas diffusion layer, in this order.
