Summary: | To provide a remaining life determination method for a polymer material capable of easily and accurately diagnosing the remaining life of the polymer material due to an external factor such as radiation, and an inspection method for piping and a piping device.SOLUTION: The remaining life determination method for determining the remaining life of a polymer material includes the steps of: irradiating the polymer material of the same quality of material as that of the polymer material to be determined with gamma rays to obtain a correlation between change in an infrared absorption spectrum on the surface and mechanical properties or an absorbed dose, measuring the infrared absorption spectrum of the surface of the polymer material to be determined, applying a measurement result of the infrared absorption spectrum and the limit value of the mechanical properties or the absorbed dose to the correlation to compare them with each other, determining the remaining life of the polymer material to be determined based on the ratio of an estimated value based on the correlation from the measurement result to a relation between the limit value of the mechanical properties or the absorbed dose, or the limit value of the estimated value to determine the remaining life of the polymer material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
【課題】放射線等の外的因子による高分子材料の余寿命を、簡便且つ高精度に診断することができる高分子材料の余寿命判定方法、および、配管や配管機器の検査方法を提供する。【解決手段】余寿命判定方法は、高分子材料の余寿命を判定する方法であって、判定対象の高分子材料と同じ材質の高分子材料にガンマ線を照射して、表面の赤外吸収スペクトルの変化と機械的物性または吸収線量との相関関係を求める工程と、判定対象の高分子材料の表面の赤外吸収スペクトルを測定する工程と、赤外吸収スペクトルの測定結果と、機械的物性または吸収線量の限界値とを相関関係にあてはめて互いに比較する工程とを含み、測定結果から相関関係に基づいて推定される推定値と、機械的物性もしくは吸収線量の限界値との関係、または、推定値の限界値に対する割合に基づいて、判定対象の高分子材料の余寿命を判定する。【選択図】図7 |
