Summary:To provide a spark plug for an internal combustion engine which can simplify its manufacturing process.SOLUTION: A spark plug 1 has: a cylindrical insulator 3; a center electrode 4 which is held on an inner peripheral side of the insulator 3 and protrudes from the insulator 3 toward a tip end side; a cylindrical housing 2 which holds the insulator 3 on the inner peripheral side; a ground electrode 6 which defines, on the inner peripheral side of the housing 2, a discharge gap G between itself and the center electrode 4; and a plug cover 5 which is provided at a tip end of the housing 2 such that the same covers a sub-combustion chamber 50 where the discharge gap G is located. The plug cover 5 is provided with a nozzle port 51 which brings the sub-combustion chamber 50 into communication with an outside. The ground electrode 6 has: a discharge-side end part 61 facing the discharge gap G; and a bonding-side end part 62 bonded to the housing 2.
