To provide a printer which has no clock function and nonetheless enables equipment information of an own printer to be correlated with information concerning timing and enables the correlated information to be stored in a storage medium, and to provide a program.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a printing unit which performs printing on a sheet; a connection unit to which a storage medium can be detachably connected; an acquisition unit which acquires timing information representing timing, from the storage medium connected to the connection unit; and a storage control unit which causes the storage medium connected to the connection unit to store output information in which equipment information concerning printing function of the printing unit is correlated with the timing information acquired by the acquisition unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】本発明が解決しようとする課題は、時計機能を備えないプリンタにおいても、自機が有する機器情報を時期に関連する情報と関連付けて記憶媒体に記憶することができるプリンタおよびプログラムを提供することである。【解決手段】実施形態のプリンタは、用紙に印刷を行う印刷部と、記憶媒体を着脱自在に接続可能な接続部と、前記接続部に接続された前記記憶媒体から時期を表す時期情報を取得する取得部と、前記印刷部の印刷機能に関する機器情報と前記取得部が取得した前記時期情報とを関連付けた出力情報を、前記接続部に接続された前記記憶媒体に記憶させる記憶制御部と、を備えたものである。【選択図】図８
