To provide an air cleaning apparatus capable of enhancing a function of cleaning air, and safely executing filter replacement, and to provide a separation cover.SOLUTION: An air cleaning apparatus 1 for sucking, cleaning and discharging a gas includes: a cleaning section 10 having a suction part for sucking a gas, and a communication passage for communicating the suction part with the outside, and cleaning a gas sucked by the suction part by a filter 12 filled in the communication passage; and an exhaust section 20 for discharging the gas cleaned by the cleaning section 10. The cleaning section 10 is detachably connected to the suction part and the an exhaust section 20, and the cleaning section 10 is formed with a communication hole for communicating the communication passage with the suction part.
