Summary:To provide a charging connector connection determination method and a charging connector connection determination device capable of reliably determining presence/absence of connection of a charging connector for an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: A charging connector connection determination method determines presence/absence of connection between a charging inlet 20 of an electric vehicle 100 and a charging connector 210 provided at a charging cable 200. The vehicle 100 has a lock pin 32 provided at the charging inlet 20, movable forward and backward, and locking an engagement state by engaging with the charging connector 210. The lock pin 32 can be displaced to a first state in which the charging connector 210 can be attached, a second state of engaging with the charging connector 210 by locating at an advancing direction side more than the first state, and a third state of preventing the charging connector 210 from being attached by locating at the advancing direction side more than the second state.
