Summary:To provide a fuel pump capable of maintaining discharge performance even when fuel pressure is increased.SOLUTION: A fuel pump of this invention includes a reciprocating plunger 2, a cylindrical cylinder 6 having a guide hole 6a extending in an axial direction so as to guide the reciprocating movement of the plunger 2, and a pump body 1 for holding the cylinder 6. The cylinder 6 has a contact surface 61a which is pressed by the pump body at one end in the axial direction.
