Summary:To downsize a hydraulic rotary machine.SOLUTION: A piston pump 100 includes a tilting mechanism 30 that energizes a swash plate 8 according to a control pressure, a support spring 20 that exerts energizing force against energizing force of the tilting mechanism 30 and supports the swash plate 8, and a regulator 50 that controls the control pressure led by the tilting mechanism 30 according to a self-pressure of the piston pump 100. The regulator 50 has an outside spring 51a and an inside spring 51b expanding/contracting following the tilting of the swash plate 8, and a control spool 52 that moves according to the energizing force of the outside spring 51a and the inside spring 51b to adjust the control pressure.
