Summary:To provide a three-dimensional molded article in which a lattice area formed by a uniform shape and strong coupling, and an external frame area provided in a whole periphery of the lattice area are objects, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: There is provided a production method of a three-dimensional molded article based on repeating of a step of molding a powder layer 3 and a step of sintering by laser beam or electron beam. In a lattice area 1, the beam having a prescribed spot diameter is scanned multiple times in one side direction at a prescribed interval for molding a sintered layer 41, and then, similar scanning is performed in the other side direction crossing the one side direction for molding a sintered layer 42. In an external frame area 2, the beam having a prescribed spot diameter is scanned in a whole area of the lattice area 1 being surrounded by an inside line and an outside line, for molding a continuous sintered layer 43.
