Summary:To provide a control method of an inkjet recording device which can suppress the generation of a merge and a scatter without lowering a printing speed when performing multistage printing.SOLUTION: When performing multistage printing, ink droplet electrification control for changing an orientation of a Coulomb force acting on two electrification ink droplets in prescribed stages is performed by inserting the electrification ink droplet for use in printing in the other stage between the two electrification ink droplets which are considered to have high possibility that a merge or a scatter may be generated in at least one prescribed stage. There can be thereby provided an inkjet recording device which can perform printing without generating the merge or the scatter without lowering a printing speed at multistage printing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】多段印字を行う場合において印字速度を低下させることなく、また、マージ、やスキャッタの発生を抑制できるインクジェット記録装置の制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】多段印字を行う場合に、少なくとも1つの所定の段でマージ、もしくはスキャッタが発生する恐れが大きいと見なされる2つの帯電インク液滴の間に、他の段の印字に使用される帯電インク液滴を挿入して、所定の段の2つの帯電インク液滴に働くクーロン力の向きを変更するインク液滴帯電制御を行う。多段印字時に印字速度を低下させることなく、かつマージ、或いはスキャッタを発生させることなく印字可能な、インクジェット記録装置を提供することができる。【選択図】図7
