To provide a walking aid that has an external appearance along the body shape of a user and that is small and lightweight.SOLUTION: A walking aid A includes: a power transmission mechanism 7 that provides a user U with an assisting force by moving a foot outfit together with a foot frame 4 by a driving force from a drive unit 6; and a hollow gear box that extends downward from a lower leg frame 3 and that stores the power transmission mechanism 7.
